Founded by Chef Nicla Dos Santos, a self-taught culinary artist with over eight years of experience in fine dining, high-end gastronomy, and experimental cuisine, our restaurant is built on the idea that every bite matters. From a light snack to a signature tasting menu, our mission is simple: “Create an unforgettable culinary experience for every guest.”
What began as Chef Nicla’s personal journey to sustain himself soon evolved into a lifelong passion for food innovation and hospitality. This passion gave rise to culinary ventures such as Café Nikolas and Summer’s Over, merging creativity, culture, and entrepreneurship.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Café Nikolas adapted by pioneering food deliveries across Windhoek. But as restrictions lifted, Chef Nicla’s vision grew bolder, curating intimate culinary events that brought people together around the art of food. This momentum culminated in the establishment of TASTE Restaurant Eros in 2021, where Nicla took on the role of Co-Owner and Executive Chef.
In just a short time, TASTE became a household name in Windhoek, celebrated for reimagining Namibian cuisine with flair, sophistication, and soul. The overwhelming support led to the expansion of a second franchise at Hosea Kutako International Airport, placing Namibian culinary excellence on the world stage.
Now, the franchise has grown further with the opening of the high-end Rivera Restaurant, located at the iconic FNB Namibia Cricket Stadium. Rivera blends fine dining with a vibrant sporting atmosphere, offering guests elevated menus and curated experiences that embody both exclusivity and celebration.
Today, TASTE has expanded beyond hospitality, it stands as the home of Namibian culinary excellence, a place where culture meets innovation, where every dish is a masterpiece, and where guests are invited to savour more than just food, but an experience.
